I specialize in designing and fabricating pictorial mosaic images. While I have a particular fondness for the ancient mosaics, I also adapt the materials and techniques to period and contemporary styles. Frequently, I am called upon to translate ideas or sketches into mosaics, and I enjoy this collaboration.
Among my projects are fountains, pools, floor medallions, niche panels and sculpture for cruise lines, hotels, parks, churches and residences.
Specific imagery for this original custom artwork is developed through conversations with my client/collaborators. Sketches lead to the final design, approved before the mosaic artwork begins.
The completed mosaics can be completely mounted and grouted on panels here in the studio, crated and shipped. These may then be hung or installed like thin slabs. Alternatively, I can provide a temporary mounting for thin-setting on site. In either case, distance is not an impediment. Coastal Reflections is a 4-1/2 by 15 foot mosaic mural, depicting the varied habitat of the Florida Panhandle.
