2011 Bucks County Designer House

Our design challenge was to turn an unused corner at the bottom of basement stairs into a functional and beautiful Wine Room. As artisans and Italian plastering specialists, we wanted to emphasize hand crafted, natural elements using local materials. We transformed bare walls with a textured Venetian plaster finish, and scribed aged barnwood molding to cover a soffit and give the illusion of a beamed ceiling. We also custom made a Pennsylvania blue stone and iron tasting bar, wine racks and mosaics, and created a trompe l'oeil mural and floorcloth to pull the room together.
