Award-Winning Tiffany Restoration in Baltimore, MD
In 2003 Willet Hauser Architectural Glass® completed the historic restoration of two large Tiffany windows for Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, Baltimore, MD. Each measuring 16 ft wide by 32 ft tall, they are considered two of the largest Tiffany windows in the world. The project included complete disassembly of all the leaded panels, cleaning of all of the glass, edge gluing of the damaged glass, reassembly of panels and plates by re-leading and copper foiling, and complete refurbishing of all bracing materials.
Willet Hauser Architectural Glass® and its craftspeople were proud to receive the 2003 Craftsmanship Award for stained glass restoration. The award was given by the Baltimore Building Congress and Exchange in recognition of the high quality of craftsmanship exhibited in the care and protection of the stained glass windows at Brown Memorial Park Avenue Presbyterian Church. According to the Craftsman Committee, the windows we restored are considered one of the world’s finest collections of Tiffany windows still in their original setting.
